Because I have been such a lazy boy...

... I decided to publish my second photo-post in one day. This time it is from my "Sepia"-collection. Have fun.

Some bishop from Spain with the typical and somewhat cumbersome cappa of this country.

Here is an elegant one from Spain. I think it's the archbishop of Granada. No cappa, but check out the fifteenthousand medals and the lace collar.

Cardinal Gibbons

Cardinal Farley

Cardinal Piffl from Vienna/Austria: "If you touch my cappa I kaiserschmarrn your face!"

It's been a while...

... but I am still runnig this blog. I had a very relaxing summer, hence the lack of posts. I don't even know if anybody still bothers to look for updates of my blog. Ah well, there might be a few of you who do. So for all the friends of the Cappa Magna, here is a Special with photos of Fernando Cardinal Quiroga Palacios from Spain. He was born in 1900, ordained bishop of Mondonedo in 1946, ordained archbishop of Santiago de Compostela in 1949 and made a cardinal in 1953. He died in 1971.

As bishop of Mondonedo

As archbishop of Santiago

As cardinal. Mantellettas are a rare find nowadays, too, so I thought I might as well add this picture. Plus, the Cardinal seems to have been quite the aristocratic type, non?

Yup...,

... he definately was that type!

And that's what the birds saw
